Our Day Out was originally written for television and transmitted as a BBC 'Play for Today' in 1977. It was later adapted for the stage and first performed at the Everyman Theatre, Liverpool, on 8th April 1983.Our Day Out - The Musical was first performed at the Royal Court Theatre, Liverpool, in September 2009, and subsequently returned to the Royal Court in 2010.
